Dinner starts at 5:15pm Presentation starts at 5:45pm
Cowboy Casserole & Dessert
The first professionally organized rodeo in the United States was a gathering of rawhide-rough cowboys in Prescott, Arizona in 1888. Today, Prescott Frontier Days not only features thrilling actions packed, edge of your seat rodeo events, it’s also a community celebration with parades, dances, picnics, art shows and fireworks. To the cowboys and cowgirls who compete, rodeo is more than a sport. It’s a lifestyle that offers heartbreak and reward in equal measures. Rodeo is a demanding and punishing sport. Rodeo is a demanding and punishing sport. Bull riding for instance, is one of the most dangerous sporting events in the world. A 1,900 pound Brahma bull is bad tempered, lightning fast, remarkably strong and capable of savage, sustained bucking. The bull will also add injury to insult by throwing the rider and then trying to stomp him into the arena floor. This presentation will explore all facets of the exciting sport of rodeo and visit three famous events in the state of Arizona. An adrenaline charged and pageant filled presentation you don’t want to miss.
