Bill Harrison presents: Made in Arizona!!

A cat, frog, rock and gun. What do they have in common? They are some of our unique state symbols approved at the Arizona Legislature. Have you ever seen a Ringtail Cat? Most people haven’t, yet it is our State Mammal. Our State amphibian is the Arizona Tree Frog; a tiny creature inhabiting the remote mountains of Northern Arizona. Marvel at the shimmering beauty of the petrified trees at the Petrified National Forest, but for heaven’s sake don’t pocket any! Petrified wood is our official State Fossil and is protected by law. Any pilfering could result in a stiff fine or even jail time. Have you ever watched an exciting John Wayne western? “The Duke” packs a Colt Single-Action Army Revolver. Last year, that revolver became our official State Firearm. Children living in Arizona were once required to learn the Five C’s..Do you know what they are and their continued importance to Arizona? This entertaining and the informative presentation will almost make you a native of Arizona! Not only will  you learn about our sixteen state symbols, you will also find out how we created the Great Seal of Arizona, produced the colorful state flag, and the designed beautiful Arizona quarter.

Dinner will be Chicken pot pie and dessert
